A DREAM COME TRUE
In a nutshell… a long time ago, I was born just outside of Chicago, Illinois. Gifted by Chicago’s culturally rich diverse environment, I was exposed to a wheel of languages, traditions, arts, foods, values, and achievements. An environment that taught me precious lessons about people of all different nationalities and backgrounds. At age six, filled with the wonder of the world, I boldly declared, “I want to be a teacher,” setting the stage for who I would become and why. I spent my entire childhood gathering my dolls for daily school lessons, and trapsing to the River Grove, IL Public Library’s used book sales. My allowance and babysitting jobs purchased and stocked my very own library complete with a card catalog. This personal little “lending library” marked the beginning of a lifelong love of literature. From there, I completed a degree at Concordia University Chicago in Elementary Education, a specialization in reading, a concentration in mathematics, and continued education in business leadership at Business Made Simple University. Currently, my deep devotion to learning targets a Master of Arts in the Great Books. I am a fierce believer of lifelong self-education. Liberty Schoolhouse Ed, Inc. is my way to give to society the gift of joyful learning to all people. Liberty Schoolhouse Ed is a DREAM COME TRUE...

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
BrittAnn Salerno is the founding President and Head of School at Liberty Schoolhouse Ed, Inc. She has taught over 25 years in multiple settings/roles including multi-graded classrooms, parochial schools, homeschool co-ops, homeschool small environment settings, private one-on-one tutorage, senior residence facilities, workshop presenter, administration, and as an educational consultant. Her patient, positive teaching style creates a contagious feeling of JOYFUL learning delivering a loving and nurturing educational environment to all ages/backgrounds. She fiercely believes in the rewards of self-education. She focuses her teaching on timeless classics and excitedly bringing them into our modern world. She receives glowing reviews from the students who recognize the nurturing and caring environment that she creates in her classes.
